Yup, it’s that time of year again… New Year’s Eve is upon us!
We know what you’re thinking… ‘It didn’t feel like than long ago since we we’re buying Valentine’s cards and Easter eggs!’
Well don’t worry, we feel the same!
… But even though life is going quicker than a freight train, we’re very, very excited for New Year’s Eve 2016 and some of the incredible parties being lined up in some of our cities and towns across the UK.

Liverpool
Dubbed ‘the home of northern celebrities’, Liverpool has always been a hip and happening place to be. From the swinging 60’s right up to the ‘noughties’, it’s always had a great reputation for its niche nightlife and popular parties.

3) Hot Water Comedy Club (adults)
If you fancy a few giggles this New Year’s Eve, then there’s nothing better than landing in Hot Water.
No, not conventional hot water… we’re talking about the Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool! This event sells out sharpish too, so get buying your ticket as soon as possible.
The Chase’s Paul Sinha is this year’s stand up star, and he’ll be joined by support acts too (TBC).

London
London has a hell of a lot going on as usual. From Shoreditch to Soho, New Year’s Eve is a pretty big deal…especially if you’re going there for the first time. Be prepared to take plenty of money though, because it’s bound to be a little pricey.
1) Bottomless NYE party (adults)
A classic mix of 80’s, club classics, funk, hip-hop and soul will await you in what is one of the slinkiest, most sophisticated bars we’ve seen this side of the Watford gap.

Fireworks by the Thames is generally something you’d see on TV, but believe us, this doesn’t justify how amazing it is.
You’ll look on in ore and appreciation as the iconic chimes of Big Ben couple up with the blasts and bangs of colourful fireworks, which appear from both the riverside and iconic London Eye.
This is something you must witness.

Edinburgh
Yes, it’s a little nippy up there, but you shouldn’t let that put you off!
New Year’s Eve, or Hogmanay – as it’s more commonly known to the Scots – is another great reason to have a few drinks, be merry and see in the New Year.

Birmingham
England’s ‘second capital’ has always been a fantastic place to party, shop, eat and drink, and New Year’s Eve is no different.

Newcastle
It’s not known as the ‘party capital of the north’ for nothing, because Geordie’s sure know how to have a good time.
As soon as you jump off the train at Newcastle Central, you’ll see party goers galore. From stag and hen doo’s, to those just out for a day of shopping, it is a constant hive of activity.

3) ‘Vintage Trouble’ at the Sage Gateshead (adults)
Ring in the New Year in spectacular style with one of the best bands on the planet today.
Vintage Trouble, who have been wowing audiences across the globe opening for heavyweights like The Rolling Stones, The Who, and AC/DC, come to the Sage Gateshead for a night of fantastic music.
Yahoo! even described them as ‘‘James Brown singing lead for Led Zeppelin’’, so were not sure about you, but that’s something we’d love to see! (stick around and you’ll also see the fireworks by the Quayside at midnight)

Sheffield
1) Crystal Bar
